ATTENTION ALL First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade Boys!
Pack 977 has Pack Meetings on the Last Tuesday of every month, at 7:00PM at First United Methodist Church in Bryan.
This event is for boys and their families!
Boys and their parents along with their friends and family are invited to come see what Cub Scouts is all about. There will be an hour and a half of fun, games, excitement, displays, shows and much more, and Boys and their Parents will have an opportunity to join Pack 977 at these monthly events.
Pack 977 welcomes all Boys from all Bryan and College Station Public Schools, Private Schools, and Homeschools. Our Pack is centrally located to service everyone who wants to be a Cub Scout, and is regularly forming Dens to encompass each area of Bryan.
At our Pack Meeting, you will get to meet our leaders and other boys, and learn how well organized our Pack is. You'll meet our behind-the-scenes committee, our representative from the Church that sponsors us, and even Eagle Scouts who help us bring the best program in the entire area to you!
Come join the fun! Join Cub Scouts!
Can't wait for the Pack Meeting?
Great! Use the form on the left to contact our Cubmaster, and you will find out where and when the nearest Den is meeting. They meet weekly and welcome new boys all the time!

What's your time commitment for Cub Scouts? Mostly, you need to focus on helping your Boy. Our Adult Leadership positions are all filled, so you may have to train this year as an Assistant Leader if you want to be a Leader next year. We take applications for all positions and encourage you to apply if something looks appealing. We'll let you know at the Pack Meeting what you can do to help your boy get the most out of Cub Scouting.
Does a boy have to have a Dad or both parents to be involved? Cub Scouting recognizes the unique situations each boy finds himself in, and is a perfect support structure for the family that has come across some unfortunate situation that the boy is experiencing. Moms and Dads without spouses can be involved with their boys in Cub Scouting...the program is not gender-specific at all in terms of the adult participation. Pack 977 offers a wholesome, character-based and honoroable group of men and women who support boys and their parents or guardians with an atmosphere that helps instill those elements that some non-traditional situations in a boy's life may need. So, any boy can participate, and any legal guardian can stand beside him proudly as they help and support him along the Cub Scout Trail!
How much does it cost?
$10.00 a year starting in February. If you join after February, then the pro-rated amount is $0.85 for each month until the following February. Yup...eighty-five cents! We encourage Boys to earn their own way, with less than a quarter due each week at Den meetings. To help, we provide fundraising and service opportunities so there should be little out-of-pocket expense for you!
What comes with membership?
Aside from all the things in Cub Scouts, Pack 977 offers some exclusive benefits that we can offer because of the generous support of our charter organization, First United Methodist Church of Bryan. Benefits include:
Free Uniform Shirt after your Boy earns his Bobcat Badge (which should occur within the first month of joining). This is provided based on your boy's participation in our fundraising activities.
Free Subscription to Boy's Life Magazine (a $12.00 value most other Packs expect you to pay!).
Adult Leaders have everything paid for. Registration, Scouting Magazine, Training, Uniforms, Supplies and Materials...Everything!
