Pack 977 Unveils New Web Site
Cub Scout Pack 977, chartered to First United Methodist Church in Bryan, Texas, has launched its website. The web site is designed for both prospective members and current Cub Scouts and their parents, and has information about training, upcoming events, calendars, projects and crafts, the Pinewood Derby, awards, and features interactive Den pages where Den Leaders and Cub Scouts can design and update their own web pages!
When Cubmaster Todd Watson saw the site, he simply said, "Wow. We sure are the best!"
The web site position statement on its masthead is that our Pack is "Central to Bryan's Future." We believe that the Cub Scout program will have a profound positive impact on the boys we serve, and it is key to the development of our young citizens and their future. Being centrally located at First United Mthodist Church in Downtown Bryan means that not only is the Cub Scouting program central to our community's future, but our location is centrally located for the boys whose future we are impacting.
The web site is designed and maintained by Pack Trainer Kristofer Cowles.

It is with great joy and pride that First Methodist opens its doors and resources to Pack 977. Our church has enjoyed a long heritage supporting Scouts and the leaders, and we are excited about this new generation of boys and their families being part of Pack 977. Our resources, prayers, and support are firmly committed to the success of this great outreach to the Scouts and their families.
Faithfully,
Matt Idom
Sr. Pastor, First United Methodist Church

Hello!
My name is Jim Norton, and I have the distinct pleasure of being the Committee Chair for the Pack 977 Committee. I want to welcome you to our site, and invite you to look around for a while.
Our Cubmaster, Todd Watson, and our Den Leaders all have an exciting program lined up for our Cub Scouts, and if you aren't a part of it, I think you'll want to be after a short time on our site.
The Pack Committee is here to serve you and your boys and help make sure Todd and the Den Leaders have all the resources they need to provide you and your boy a genuine Cub Scout program that is second to none. Please let me know what we can do to help you and your boy grow, and let me know what you'd like to do to help.
Remember, your primary responsibility in Cub Scouts is to help your son with his achievements in his book, and to advance by earning those achievements. While we can always use volunteers and extra leaders, please make sure you're helping your own Cub Scout before you volunteer to help others.
Again, welcome to Pack 977! We're the best Pack in the Sam Houston Area Council...and that's not even bragging!
